As part of computing linked to maths, children have created spread sheets to automate multiplication, addition and to test whether a budget has been exceeded.
We have learnt how to use an algorithm to calculate sums. We will revisit this soon.
This is year 3s first attempt at drawing graphs. We spent time evaluating the graphs and thinking what they could show.

Yr3 children have continued to explore sequencing, sensing, inputs, outputs, control and variables whilst following instructions to build a model crocodile which senses if food is near it’s mouth. A sequencing program was written to monitor a light sensor which if activated controlled a motor to move the crocodiles mouth.
